Olovus is a Management Consultancy specialising in NHS Service Change. I became involved with them through Housing Options Scotland; one of the directors is involved in Communications with the charity. We had a chat one day and things progressed from there. It is a pleasure to work with Olovus: they are a lovely group of people doing fantastic work. NHS Comms is very different to marketing and requires a different mindset; any copy I produce needs a bit more thought and I love that.
I’ve worked with Olovus on a range of projects. I helped to promote their podcast called ‘Not a Consultation’ with Twitter and LinkedIn. On Twitter, this required me to sensitise myself to a new audience and to build their following. The podcast is niche and any content requires careful thought and innovation to ensure that the correct people are being made aware of it. More recently, I have helped with a social media strategy for an NHS Trust promoting a Listening Exercise and planned social media content and scheduling.
I have worked with LinkedIn to promote the podcast too, I have sought out candidates for vacancies at the consultancy and I have helped some of the staff with writing their LinkedIn bios. I do a bit of everything with Olovus, but most of my activities have a social media theme.
